Located close to Las Vegas, New Mexico, Red Rock National Conservation Area has many spectacular views all year. One of the views is this amazing peak. In my digital painting, blue predominates with splashes of rusty red, often in layers. A cloud is caressing the point of this mountain and seems loathe to let go of it. Scattered snow clinging to the sagebrush lend the image a peaceful, bucolic feeling. The snow nicely contrasts with the hard rock in the background. The Bureau of Land Management administers this area.
