Chuck Mountain brings a wide range of interests and experiences to his work. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chuck earned his BA and MA degrees in applied violin at the University of California, Northridge. Throughout the Los Angeles area he performed and taught, composed and conducted.

He then went on to earn his MDiv at Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and to serve two parishes in South Dakota. During this time he authored four published books and served the musical community in South Dakota by performing as a violinist and producing a radio show, Bach in Context, for South Dakota Public Radio.

With a move to Denver, Chuck continued theological studies at St Thomas Seminary (Hispanic Ministries) and played professionally in the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Theodore Kuchar. For several years he produced a radio program, God in Music Glorified, which featured the great choral composers from Bach to Bernstein.

After a two-year course of study at Community College of Denver, Chuck worked as a freelance graphic designer and as co-publisher with his wife. For five years he taught Introduction to Computer Graphics at Arapahoe Community College. During this time, Chuck also worked as a freelance multilingual desktop publisher for companies worldwide.

Currently, Chuck lives in Muskegon, Michigan, with his wife, Jane. They have a son, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
